Mount Pleasant Primary School recognised as Leading in Reading
Mount Pleasant Primary School has been accredited as a Leading in Reading Ambassador School and received its award at the Big Book Awards ceremony presentation at Shrewsbury's Theatre Severn last week.
The ambassador scheme was designed by Shrewsbury Bookfest, in partnership with the University Centre, Shrewsbury. It aims to recognise and showcase primary schools who have embraced Bookfest's school based projects and demonstrate creativity, imagination and success in harnessing a culture of reading for pleasure in pupils.
