A local charity has benefitted from the fundraising efforts of pupils of the three primary schools
A sponsored MAT-wide challenge to run the equivalent distance between the three schools in the MAT – Greenfields Primary School, Mount Pleasant Primary School and Radbrook Primary School – has raised money for a local charity ‘Empathy for Special Children’.
The aim was for children to run around a mile a day during the week of 12th July. The final day of the five mile challenge saw children coming into school dressed in bright colours to mark the end of the event and run the final mile.
The ‘Run the MAT’ event was the idea of the MAT Parliament, made up of pupil representatives from each school. They chose the charity, which helps to support children living with a hidden disability, to benefit from the fundraising.
